Do not buy... May 22, 2009 K. K. PARK (Tempe, AZ USA) I was happy with this one and used rarely for several months as a backup battery for my lovely k20D.
But.. It was stuck in Camera and had a trouble to take it out for a while. Afer taking it out, I found the plastic case was loosen and so stuck in the K20D.
Am I just an unlucky buyer? Take your own risk.
Ideal inexpensive battery for your D-BG2 Pentax battery grip May 15, 2009 Writeb (Silicon Valley CA) Save 20 bucks to go towards your B&W Circular polarizer. If you don't have $30 of dosh to dole out for an official Pentax battery, this one should do you well - with the caveat that this battery is reportedly too snug to actually fit inside of your K10D or K20D, but fits the Pentax D-BG2 battery grip just fine.
According to the specs, it's the exact same voltage and Amperage as the Pentax D-LI50 (1500mAh/7.4V), works fine, and is chargeable via the standard Pentax battery charger as well. The battery feels quality and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. I just wish it fit the main unit!
I use with a Pentax K20d October 6, 2008 Fuzzy Jones (New Jersey, USA) Fits too snug in the k20d camera, but perfect for the Pentax k20d battery pack.
Does not fit the K20D August 15, 2008 Hamid Shibata Bennett (Gresham, Oregon USA) This item does not properly fit the Pentax K20D. It goes in the battery slot just fine and powers up the camera. However, when trying to eject the battery, it gets stuck. I have not had similar problems with the original Pentax D-LI50 battery or Impact's NP-400 type battery.
I will not bother trying this in my Pentax K10D... I'll be returning all 3 batteries.
Did not charge, did not fit Minolta 7D. March 31, 2008 J. Benjamin 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I returned this battery. It would not charge (looked like it was charging but then after several hours the charging light would blink indicating it was dead).
However, the real issue is that in the Maxxum 7D this battery is a very, very tight fit. It was basically stuck in the compartment and barely came back out! When you're shooting and you need to switch batteries quickly, this is the last thing you need. It might work fine in the vertical grip (VC 7D) but I don't have mine yet to try that.
So far I have not found an NP 400 battery that is as good as the original; I still get 300-400 shots on the original 2+ year old Minolta battery. The next best, so far, has been the Energizer version which only gets 200-250 shot. The rest have all been junk. :-(
