What's in the Box Polaroid One600 Classic Instant Camera, wrist strap, one-year limited warranty Should you really "shake it like a Polaroid picture?" Ever since the song "Hey Ya" by Andre 3000 of Outkast came out, everyone is shaking their Polaroid pictures. Shaking or waving a Polaroid picture to help the development process originated in the early days of peel-apart film. After peeling the negative, the image needed to dry before it could be handled, so waving the photo helped it to dry more quickly. When using the integral films (600, Spectra, 500, SX-70/Time-Zero, i-Zone) that are used in our most popular current camera models (Polaroid One, OneStep, JoyCam, etc.), the image develops and dries behind a clear plastic window and never touches the air, so shaking or waving has no effect. In fact, excessive shaking or waving can actually damage the image. Rapid movement during development can cause portions of the film to separate prematurely, or can cause "blobs" in the picture. The best way to ensure a perfectly developed image is to simply lay the picture on a flat surface immediately after it exits the camera.
Product Description The Polaroid One600 Classic makes it easy and fun to capture those precious moments, more easily than ever. Take sharp, close-up pictures as easy as 1-2-3! Photos develop in approximately 3 minutes at room temperatures Uses all 600 films and Type 779 film Comes with wrist strap

Great. June 29, 2009 Instead of a sign in book at my wedding I did instant pictures. This camera worked great. My wedding was two years ago and the cameras are still working great. I am very pleased with this product.
Love this!!!!! May 28, 2009 I purchased this jem to take pictures of my guests at my wedding. It worked out lovely. I made a collage of the pictures and I was pleased with it over the alternative of a guest book!!!
Polaroid One600 April 22, 2009 A very retro way to take pictures for sure. However, it seems this is the hot thing for my teenager. Who knew she and her friends would love this thing. She is the only one who has a new one, and she seems to love it. It is exactly like the one I had years and years ago.
Great camera! February 11, 2009 I bought this camera for my girlfriend as one of her birthday gifts and she absolutely loves it! The camera got to my house quicker then the shipping option I had chosen and worked great right out of the box. It's really too bad that Polaroid discontinued this camera and Polaroid film in general last year. I looked everywhere online to find the best price, but Amazon.com (and it's partners) were the only people still selling it.
Don't bother! January 31, 2009 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Purchased this camera for my husband's dive business so he could instantly photograph his students who successfully completed their scuba course. That was in November. A friend did some research and found that the film is being discontinued this year (2009). I should have paid attention to the other reviewers who mentioned this. Why sell a camera that you can no longer buy film for?! It came from Adobe Camera and when I called them to get a RMA#, they asked why I was returning it. When I told them - no response - but I did get my money back for the camera and the extra film I purchased. Seems ridiculous to me for Amazon to be selling a product that will soon be totally useless, unless of course, you have lots of $$ to stock up on film (it' expensive - turns out to be about $1 a picture - don't make a mistake!)
